Configure mIRC

Welcome to the mIRC Newbie Configuration Page.  This is designed to be a lot more helpful than just a text file.  This'll have pretty pictures and junk that you can look at.  ^_^.  Enjoy.

First, look around on the menu bars at the top.

Look for a button that looks like this:

Click that button, and a new menu will open up.  When you opened IRC for the first time, you had followed instructions on the website before on this panel.

Click on DCC (Next to the + or - sign, depending if you expanded it or not.), and set it up to look like Figure 1.1 below.

Figure 1.1

After that is done, proceed to the next step.

Next (if it wasn't done for you already), click on the plus (+) sign next to DCC to expand the menu.  Five new options will appear slightly indented under DCC.  They are Options, Folders, Ignore, Fserve, and Server.

From there, click on "Ignore" and the sub-screen with change.  Please adjust the options to look exactly like Figure 1.2 below.

After that's done, proceed to the next step.

Keeping the DCC section expanded, please choose "Server" next.

As before, please adjust your mIRC to look like what is in Figure 1.3 below.

Now you are ready to download files!  For help on this, Please read the "!Help" file also available in the channel or click the link HERE!
